The reading section of IELTS is not easy either. Texts
can often be very long and on topics ranging from complex
scientific issues to articles on psychology
and the environment. The IELTS exam is trying
to test the skills you will need in the real world and
trying to assess your ability to extract specific information
from written texts, as well as understanding their general
meaning.

The best way to prepare for IELTS is to do a great
deal of reading practice and keep working to identify
key words in the questions or statements. You should
also focus on looking for synonyms, opposites or words
with similar meanings in the reading passage when answering
the True, False, Not Given questions.

but will also help with your writing. Practise
as much as you can!
